Reflection On Portfolio
While I was making the website for my portfolio, I've realized that I have learned a lot of things this past semester. Not only did I learn the different types of writing traits but I have also learned how to manage my time and organize ahead of time. Usually I would do things the very last minute, but now I learned how to not procrastinate. Looking at the things that i've learned related to media is that I've learned how to create and design a website by using a blank layout on wix. Overall I thought of this semester as the hardest semester of English I ever took because there were a lot of due dates this semester. Hopefully next semester, I will use the things that I have learned this semester and pass it on to next semester.

What piece of writing did you like best in my portfolio and why?
ReplyDeleteI liked the assignment “Words From the Heart” because I think it shows a mixture of the writing traits that you learned.
What did you like about my portfolio and sharing and what would you like to see me improve on?
I liked how you designed the portfolio because it is very eye catching. But the only thing that you would have to improve on is your time management. Instead of doing it last minute you should do it a week before so you wouldn’t have to worry.
Which of the writing traits (ideas, organization, voice, word choice) do you feel was most successful for me?
I feel like “voice” spoke to me. I felt like you were telling me a story. But the bad thing about voice was that it felt to informal. So for next semester I think you should start practice writing more formally.
Which of the traits of writing would you like me to improve on in the coming semester?
Like I said in the second question, I think you should do your work earlier than your supposed too because it gives you time to think about any mistakes you make so you could change it before the due date.

I like the visual of your portfolio. Instead of using a moving background you should use a still picture because the moving background makes me dizzy.

I feel like ideas and word choice was most successful for you because I think that you have really creative and unique ideas. For example the picture frame paragraph, was explained so well that I could see the picture in my head.
Which of the traits of writing would you like me to improve on in the coming semester?
I would like for you to improve your word choice because some of the words you say are informal. So instead of using informal words you should find an alternative.
